About JonaQuestArt (London, UK) - exhibitor in 2019:

JonaQuestArt is a young art gallery from Greenwich, London. At the fair the gallery presents contemporary works by international painters and sculptors having their roots in Africa. The exhibition covers a kaleidoscope of dynamic colours, media, textures and positions itself at the interface of culture, aesthetics and philosophy.
J. Suyi, a British Nigerian artist, uses abstract art to explore her cultural identity. She creates colourful, textured works and involves the audience in exploring philosophical and cultural issues.
Joss Rossiter uses oil pastels, ink and acrylic to create colourful, semi-abstract and expressionist portraits.
Muktair Oladoja is an illustrator from the southern part of Nigeria. In his works, he weaves complicated pen and watercolour carpets from repetitive patterns on delicate rice paper. He is inspired by market scenes, festivals and cultural traditions from the early days of the Yoruba country in Nigeria.
JonaQuestArt also shows Shona sculptures in Zurich, which were created by Nyanhongo sculptors from Zimbabwe. The masterful stones of Gedion and Ronald Nyanhongo bear witness to emotion and simplicity. An important aspect of these works is that they are rarely presented in a unified form, but with different markings and textures on the surface through which the natural colour of the stone can be seen.
Prices from 550 to 13000 CHF.
Artists at the fair: Gedion Nyanhongo (U.S.), Joss Rossiter (U.K), J Suyi (UK), Alexandra Moskalenko (UK), Inna Bolund (Belarus), Lee Panizza (U.K), Raphael Sagage(UK), Peisy Ting (Malaysia), Solomon Okpurukhre (Austria), Chema Rivas (Spain), Ronald Nyanhongo (UK), Euwitt Nyanhongo, Samir Shareef (Sudan), Muktair Oladoja (Nigeria)
